Thanksgiving Handprint Tree Craft

This Thanksgiving Day hand print tree craft is a great class project. It's a thankful tree and the kids write what they are thankful for on a hand print cutout and put it on the classroom tree.

Materials:

  • Big brown paper or paint
  • various colored construction paper(especially fall colors)
  • pencil
  • scissors
  • glue

Directions:
  1.  Cut out and put up a large tree on the wall. Or paint one.
  2. Trace all the kids hands on colored construction paper. Have them write what they are thankful for on the hands with their name and cut out.
  3. Glue their hand prints on the tree.

This craft is a group activity, but it could be adapted to making a smaller individual or family thankful tree.
